I used the restoration white to paint the exterior of my weather-board cottage. It's a good shade for a traditional look and I'm pleased overall with the result. Happy to be using a breathable and natural product. However - I needed quite a bit more paint than is suggested. Also,I found due to the thickness of the paint that I got a nicer finish by adding the oil to even the top coat. It is also slow drying - 48 hours between coats. But overall nice product.

The paint has a lovely consistency, smells great, and it's intruiging to see the finish change with each coat.

I never realised linseed paint could compete with modern oil based / water based paints, but on application it defiantly does, and if it lasts as long as what is claimed then its just a brilliant product! Very pleased

The paint I ordered was colour matched to my existing Dulux Weathershield using the dulux colour chart. For 4 seasons I have painted my exterior wooden windows each time removing paint to the wood and drying to better than 15% moisture. Each time the paint has ctracked and peeled. Having been assured many times that I was doing something wrong I persevered but the result was the same. I then learned that modern plastic based paints do not allow moisture which inevetably gets trapped, cannot escape without splitting the paint. Linseed oil based paints are effective because they do allow trapped moisture to escape. The Brouns Linseed Oil paint wa a perfect colour match and the application was very smooth. Brush cleaning is not as easy as for other paint types however.
