Brouns & Co Linseed Paint Workshops - Using Natural Materials
Our linseed paint workshops are designed so that you can soon become a professional at using linseed paint and other natural materials that you may need to use in a restoration project. The workshops are run by Ian Stokes a professional decorator who has been using linseed paint for over 10 years and has real practical experience. He has also taught 'Painting and Decorating' at a UK university so can empower you with the theory as well as practical advice. Your linseed paint workshop day will include the following:
- Preparation of surfaces
- Using a Speedheater
- Mixing a primer
- Applying a primer coat
- Applying finishing coats
- Using natural filling materials
- Using linseed oils
- Maintenance
- Cleaning and maintaining brushes
You need to come dressed to paint. These are practical workshops. They are busy days but there will be tea, coffee breaks and lunch will be provided.
Each course day will be limited to 8 places only.
