Gardeners World Live - Linseed Paint Used By Award Winner

We had an incredible time visiting the BBC Gardeners’ World Live event at the NEC this June, where we were delighted to see the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) garden — beautifully designed by Rachel Bailey PhD MSGD MAPL, a member of the Society of Garden & Landscape Designers (SGLD). The garden impressed both judges and visitors alike, earning a Platinum Medal, along with the coveted awards for Best Construction and Best Show Garden 2025. Congratulations to Rachel and the entire APL team on this outstanding achievement!

We were especially proud to have played a small part in this success. The garden’s pergola was finished in Brouns & Co’s “Chatsworth Blue”, a stunning shade that complemented the design perfectly.

Our linseed oil paint, made from the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum), is a time-honoured, natural material with exceptional durability for outdoor use. While it’s best applied during the painting season, once on, it provides long-lasting protection in all climates — its being used everywhere from Antarctica to Bermuda — with only minimal maintenance: just an occasional wipe of linseed oil to keep it looking its best.
