Restoration Of Late Georgian Townhouse In Bermuda

24th Jan 2024

It's amazing where in the world Brouns & Co linseed paint is used. Here it has been applied to a restored window frame, sashes and shutters on the island of Bermuda. The late Georgian townhouse is being lovingly restored by its owners.

The property is situated in the Towne of St,George, Bermuda. The town, a number of forts and historic sites around it, are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The shutters are painted in Brouns & Co Amsterdam Green. They are the original shutters and with linseed paint having been used years ago they only needed to be sanded back to the original linseed layers rather than completely stripped. The glazing putty was also replaced with Brouns & Co linseed oil putty and also painted in Amsterdam green.
